Why Nutrition and Culinary Arts?
This study at the school of nutrition Switzerland is very beneficial for students, as it will help to open up a lot more career paths than they would have been able to pursue if they entered the profession at undergraduate or postgraduate level.
The students will be taught the core elements needed for a managerial position in most international Nutrition or culinary businesses. Part-time studying and part-time working in a state of the art kitchen or Nutrition office, the students will get a chance to become accustomed to the type of environment they will be overseeing as a culinary chef or Nutritionist and will learn the necessary skills and sanitary procedures to make it a safe environment for themselves and their co-workers.
Having the chance to put these skills to use in a working environment will also mean that these students get a hands-on experience out of the walls of the Academy and will be able to communicate and work as a part of a professional team which will add on a whole new level of knowledge and also a professional vocabulary in order to set themselves up properly for employment.
Academic Goal
Graduates of this course at the school of nutrition Switzerland will have a wide range of managerial career paths to choose from because of the high level the qualification that they will receive. Students will be confident, skillful leaders that will be able to adapt to any situation that they may need to face once employed. They will have knowledge of the current health and sanitation regulations, state of the art culinary machinery and high standards of preparation and presentation when it comes to service.
Programme overview
The students will be taught through a series of lectures and hands-on experience on campus in order to gain new skills and build on basic skills learned at an earlier level in their education. However, as each student is different and it is important for us to be able to cater to every student's needs when it comes to their career goals, we will give our students the chance to choose from a list of elective modules in order to shape their curriculum to shape their own goals. Students can choose from the following list of electives.
Students will be marked on assessments such as exams, presentations, essays and skills assessments.
Swiss Diploma (1 year) / Associate Diploma (2 years):
This is the first step for our Bachelor study program
