Maryam Abacha American University (MAAUN) - Niger
was nurtured in 2013. It is a private University located in Maradi, Niger Republic, just about 90KM away from Katsina State of Nigeria. It is founded by Adamu Abubakar Gwarzo, a Nigerian and veteran Journalist. The institution is named after the former first lady of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Hajiya Maryam Sani Abacha for her philanthropic gesture and contribution to the development of the African continent. The University was recommended by Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific research of Niger Republic and also recommended by the Evaluation & Accreditation Division/Education Support Services Department of the Federal Ministry of Education, Abuja. The location of the institution is favourable and highly conducive for learning.
